Listening to Our Bodies: Consent, Boundaries & Emotion Regulation Workshop Facilitator ~ Part Time
Connected North - Taking It Global ~ online across Nunavut (& Canada)
What an Online Session for Kindergarten - Grade 3 Students Looks Like:
This series of three interactive workshops is the first time consent & boundaries education is being offered to young learners (K-Gr3) in schools across Nunavut. Each 30-minute session introduces age-appropriate concepts like listening to our bodies, boundaries, permission, emotions, and simple regulation skills through songs, movement, storytelling, and hands-on activities. These sessions are also available to other classes across Canada.
Students learn to recognize what feels comfortable or uncomfortable, express their needs, and understand the needs of others. Gentle psycho-education is woven throughout to support foundational skills for healthy relationships, safety, and emotional awareness in culturally respectful and developmentally sensitive ways.
Psychoeducational Art Workshop Facilitator ~ Part Time
Connected North - Taking It Global ~ online across Canadian communities
What a 1-Hour Online Art-Based Session for Grade School Students Looks Like:
In this psycho-educational session, students are introduced to art therapy and how creative expression can support emotional well-being. They then create their own "Shelf of Well-being" artwork - personalized pieces that help them explore and define what well-being means to them. As they work, there’s time for reflection and discussion on self-care and emotion regulation. The completed art serves as a lasting, visual tool for students to use at home to support their mental and emotional health.

Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House: Make It Program. ~ Vancouver, BC, Canada
After completing my Adler University practicum with the "Make It" program in 2021,
I was honoured to be offered to continue working with them on a part time contract and am grateful to still be working with their team.

My role with "Make It" currently includes: leading weekly 2hr group art therapy sessions (hybrid), individual counselling and art therapy (online), and co-facilitating community art projects (such as various sized murals, poster projects, creating art for communal spaces, etc.) with youth aged 15-30 (in-person).
Art Therapist ~ Part Time
Homewood Ravensview ~ Vancouver Island, BC, Can
I facilitated Art Therapy groups -- with up to 10 participants (adults, younger adults, first responders, military, and veterans) -- in this private 6-9 week in-patient mental health, addiction and concurrent conditions treatment centre.
I worked directly with the MyPath group (clients aged 19-25) as well as those who were attending their first week at Ravensview.
The Art Therapy group sessions were designed to integrate the experiences & take-aways from the other services available to each person as well as to provide a space for open expression, relaxation, community, and play.
